How we handle data
Anonymous by default
A shopper scanning a QR code is never asked to log in. Scan events are stored without names, emails or device fingerprints — SKU, coarse region, language and timestamp only.
Regional data residency
Manual assets and scan telemetry are stored in the region you select — EU, US, India or Singapore — so cross-border transfer questions never come up in procurement.
Encryption and least privilege
TLS in transit, encryption at rest, signed time-limited URLs for private manual files, and role-gated admin access with an audit trail on every publish.
Processor, not owner
Your manuals, your scans, your data. We act as a processor under a DPA with sub-processor disclosure, and we never train public models on your content.
Consent-first analytics
Strictly-necessary storage only until a visitor opts in. Analytics cookies stay off if they choose Essential only, in every market, not just the EU.
Clear retention
Scan analytics retained 24 months, AI question logs 12 months, deleted accounts purged within 30 days. Custom retention windows available on request.
Your rights, wherever you are
We honour these for everyone, not only for residents of the region that happens to mandate them. Requests are answered within 30 days.
